NoteElegantly User Manual

Welcome to NoteElegantly, a feature-rich text editor designed to enhance your writing experience. This guide will help you understand and utilize all the features available in the application.

Getting Started

• Open the NoteElegantly application in your web browser.
• You'll see a clean interface with the editor in the center and various controls at the top and bottom.

Basic Editing

• Click anywhere in the editor area to start typing.
• Use the toolbar at the top of the editor to format your text:
  • Change font and font size
  • Apply bold, italic, underline, or strikethrough
  • Change text color and background color
  • Add subscript or superscript
  • Create headers
  • Add bullet or numbered lists
  • Adjust text alignment
  • Insert links, images, or videos

  Theme Toggle

  • Look for the "Dark Theme" toggle switch at the top of the page.
  • Click the switch to toggle between light and dark themes for comfortable editing in any lighting condition.

  Word Count

  The word count is displayed at the bottom of the editor and updates automatically as you type, helping you keep track of your document's length.

  Saving and Exporting

  NoteElegantly offers multiple ways to save and export your work:

  • Save as TXT: Click the "Save as TXT" button to download your document as a plain text file.
  • Save as PDF: Click the "Save as PDF" button to download your document as a PDF file, preserving formatting.
  • Save as Word: Click the "Save as Word" button to download your document as a Microsoft Word file.
  • Export as HTML: Click the "Export as HTML" button to download your document as an HTML file.
  • Export as Markdown: Click the "Export as Markdown" button to download your document in Markdown format.
  • Export as LaTeX: Click the "Export as LaTeX" button to download your document in LaTeX format.

  Importing Documents

  • Click the "Import Document" button.
  • Select a TXT or HTML file from your computer to import its contents into the editor.

  Find and Replace

  1. Click the "Find and Replace" button for two times to open the find and replace panel.
  2. Then at the upper side of the page "Find" and "Replace" field and "Find", "Replace" and "Replace All" button will be visible.
  3. Enter the text you want to find in the "Find" input field.
  4. Enter the replacement text in the "Replace" input field.
  5. Use the "Find" button to locate occurrences of the text.
  6. Use the "Replace" button to replace the currently selected occurrence.
  7. Use the "Replace All" button to replace all occurrences at once.

  Autosave

  NoteElegantly automatically saves your work every 30 seconds. If you close the browser accidentally, your content will be restored when you reopen the application.

  Clearing Autosaved Content

  If you want to start fresh and remove the autosaved content:

  1. Click the "Clear Autosaved Content" button.
  2. Confirm the action when prompted.

  Keyboard Shortcuts

  • Ctrl + S (or Cmd + S on Mac): Quick save as TXT file.
  • Use standard text editing shortcuts (Ctrl+B for bold, Ctrl+I for italic, etc.) within the editor.

  Tips for Best Use

  • Regularly save your work using one of the export options.
  • Experiment with different formats (PDF, Word, HTML) to see which suits your needs best.
  • Use the find and replace feature for quick edits in long documents.
  • Toggle between light and dark themes based on your environment and preference.
  • Utilize the rich formatting options in the toolbar to enhance your document's appearance.

  Troubleshooting

  • If the editor doesn't load, try refreshing the page.
  • If autosave isn't working, check your browser's local storage settings.
  • For any persistent issues, clear your browser cache and reload the page.
